Child Care – Our Early Learning Programs
Key values underpinning our programs include cooperation, trust, respect, sharing and social responsibility.
Our highly trained and dedicated staff ensure each child’s experience at Federation Children is positive.
Features of our programs include:
- individual programs
- small group sizes
- state-of-the-art equipment, supplied from all over the world.
Throughout each year, children’s experiences and learning are documented in a comprehensive and detailed individual written and photographic portfolio.
Uniquely, our programs also include activities such as music, dance, computers, Italian language and sports, which are included in the fees.
Quality programs for children can only be delivered by expertly trained and experienced educators. Many of our staff have specialist training in a range of services and skills such as infant care, lactation consultancy, sleep settling, food intolerances/allergies, and maternal support.
With more than 20 years experience, the Federation Children team has the knowledge and expertise to ensure that every day, every child is supported, nurtured and developed to their fullest capacity.
Kindergarten – Learning, Playing and Exploring
Federation Children offers both 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs, delivered by experienced, qualified kindergarten teachers.
Our emergent kindergarten curriculum is influenced by respected international philosophies on effective early childhood education, such as Reggio Emilia, Steiner and Te Whariki. Using the children’s unique interests as a springboard, kindergarten teachers and children at Federation Children share the learning journey together, constructing and investigating ideas in partnership.
Families can select kindergarten session times that suit their requirements, in combinations of full and half days. Children in 3 and 4 year old kindergarten may attend from one half day per week through to full time.
Throughout each year, all kindergarten children’s learning is documented in a portfolio. Portfolios include observations that are captured by both written documentation and photographic evidence. This comprehensive document acts as a tangible record of your child’s unique learning and experiences. Portfolios can be accessed at any time by families or discussed in more detail at home visits or annual parent/teacher nights.
Kindergarten hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm. Children may attend before and after kindergarten care outside these hours.
